No. Your furnace filter still protects the HVAC equipment. The PD-HEPA system runs in parallel to deeply clean the air using HEPA and carbon technologies that a furnace filter cannot match.
How often do the filters need to be replaced?
HEPA cylinders last 2–5 years depending on the model, while carbon prefilters and VOC filters are replaced every 3–12 months. See the Maintenance section for details by model.
Will this help with allergies or asthma?
